A young company has developed a test device to evaluate a person's balance and gait in order to anticipate the risk of falling and to detect possible pathologies.
This year, one third of the population over 65 years old, i.e. 2 million people, will fall at least once. This accident is also the second most common cause of work stoppage in France. To prevent this problem, a young company, AbilyCare, a start-up from Erganeo, has launched the marketing of an innovative medical device. The company has licensed the patents and research conducted at the Borelli Center, a laboratory under the CNRS and ENS Saclay.
